Annual GALA BENEFIT CONCERT 3rd Join us for an evening with
Oleta Adams

Adams has inspired a growing legion of fans in the U.S. and Europe with journeys of the heart via songs that draw deeply from her roots in gospel, while crossing effortlessly into the realms of soul, R&B, urban, and popular music. Her success, nurtured by worldwide tours with Tears for Fears, Phil Collins, Michael Bolton, and Luther Vandross, has been solidified by four Grammy nominations and a seemingly bottomless well of creative energy.

With seven CDs, including secular, gospel, a Christmas album, and soon the eighth, Let’s Stay Here, worldwide acclaim and over two and a-half million albums sold, Oleta's musical odyssey continues – spiritually and creatively.

Michael Manson

His passion and precision are displayed with both unrelenting power and laid back grace on the album his latest live double CD/DVD in which he says, "reflects the deepest expression of all I have felt making music in the last 20 years I'm happy to be joining this year's line up for the gala...I will serve as Oleta Adams' bass player for the evening, as well as host for the evening along with my co-host Lana Manson".

About Musical Arts Institute The Musical Arts Institute is a nonprofit, community-minded organization that provides exceptional Music training taught by a staff of highly qualified instructors. The heart of MAI’s mission is to offer solutions for children in under-served communities and areas where music lessons are unavailable and/or not affordable. March 2010, we opened the doors to our primary location on Chicago’s south-side for the purpose of providing superior Music instruction. Within less than one year, we have enrolled 130 students taught by 14 music professionals. Along with traditional music training, our unique program offering (private lessons, workshops, off-site learning, and clinics) utilizes an intensive level based curriculum. Included in the course offerings are private and group studies in voice, piano, string instruments, percussion, and wind instruments.
